SASAC Reveals 2011 Budget
Published: 2011-05-06
The State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) is the latest central government department to reveal details of its 2011 budget, publishing the figures on its official website yesterday. Responsible for overseeing the large centrally-run government-owned enterprises, SASAC plans to spend 3.9445 billion yuan on "ordinary expenditure" in 2011, 510 million yuan more than it spent last year. No information on spending on official travel, cars or events was revealed in the budget figures that were announced yesterday, despite a recent call from the State Council encouraging government departments to make such information public.
