China Prohibits the Misuse of English words in Chinese-language Publications

The General Administration of Press and Publication recently issued a circular of requirements to further standardize language in Chinese publications. The circular states the misuse of words or abbreviations in English and other foreign languages are not allowed. Self-created characters, unfamiliar strange characters and words that violate grammar rules are also banned from publications.
